Pierre Forette – Thierry Wong – Baptiste Deville

Pierre Forette, a graduate of FEMIS Film School and ESCP Business School and Thierry Wong, a graduate of FEMIS Film School and Kedge Business School who received a post-graduated diploma in Cinema and Audiovisual Economics (La Sorbonne University), founded in 1997 CINE NOMINE, a film production company. The same year, Thierry Wong was awarded the “young producer” grant by Hachette Foundation / Jean-Luc Lagardère.

 

In 2000, Pierre Forette and Thierry Wong produced their first feature film, The Squale, by Fabrice Genestal’s, which was nominated at the French Cesar Academy Awards for “Best First Film”. Since then, they have produced many films, among them : Lionel Delplanque’s President with Albert Dupontel, Alain Monne’s Cartagena with Sophie Marceau and Christophe Lambert, Fabrice Genestal’s, Trader games with Gilles Lellouche and Michael Madsen, Clovis Cornillac’s Blind Date, Thomas Vincent’s The New Life of Paul Sneijder with Thierry Lhermitte, Eric Besnard’s The Father figure with Guillaume de Tonquedec, François Berléand, Josiane Balasko and Isabelle Carré, Fabrice Maruca’s Song Express and C’est Magnifique ! by Clovis Cornillac.

CINE NOMINE works with the most prominent films compagnies in France and Europe : Canal+, Orange Studio, SND (M6 group), UGC, Paramount Pictures France, Wild Bunch, Goldcrest etc.

 

Simultaneously with their production activity, Pierre Forette and Thierry Wong founded in 2003, in partnership with the Banque Palatine (BPCE group), the SOFICA PALATINE ETOILE as well as several CN PRODUCTIONS companies dedicated to investing in French and European cinema. To date, all these companies have raised and invested more than 100 million euros, invested in more than 340 feature films, including a Palme d’Or winner and more than 42 films selected at the Cannes Film Festival.

 

In 2010, Pierre Forette and Thierry Wong were joined by Baptiste Deville, who is the general manager of the SOFICAs and develops new projects as a producer.
